Songs to my life!

My favourite artist for a very very long time - sadly now in the great band in the sky!

Waylon Jennings  "Honky Tonk Heroes" is my favourite (and first one I bought) of his albums - he and Jimmy Buffett (whose "Changes in lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes" is one of the best albums ever)have been there for the ride since the 1970's!  Of course there'll always be a place for Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogarty who keeps on rockin' all over the world!

One of the, if not the, greatest singers I've heard (and had the pleasure of seeing live a few times now - always a stunning performance)

 k d lang

but k d is still the best of the bunch.  Her version of Leonard Cohen's Halleluia is just sublime and Shadowlands is a tremndous tribute to 1950's female country music (and Patsy Cline).

There's few very good female singers around at the moment - Pixie Lott, Paloma Faith, Duffy, and lately Rumer as well as Anastacia (who I've seen a couple of times and does a very good live show)

one of my favourite bands, very under rated in my opinion - Molly Hatchett (Southern/country rock - or at least it is to me!)  First came across these when in the States in 1980 when their song "Gator Country" blew me away! and followed them ever since.
